Jane will take you through all the steps to paint
a horse in classic full-body profile. This
comprehensive but compressed 3-day
workshop will include how to draw the horse
accurately before you put color on your canvas
or paper.
On day one, Jane will demonstrate drawing and
then painting a value study in black and white;
students will do the same! Though students
can paint a horse of their choice, everyone
should plan to use the same classic pose which
will be provided. (Guidelines for pose and
lighting will be available prior to workshop).
The next two days will be spent painting,
painting, and more painting! Jane will do
mini-demos on mixing colors and applying paint
to achieve a true and natural likeness of a horse.
There will be lots of individual attention for each
artist and you are encouraged to bring samples
of your work for individual review.
